Telos Publishing Newsletter
23 May 2016

Hi Everyone,

A quick update for you all of what Telos Publishing has been up to so far in 2016 ...

HORROR/DARK FANTASY/SCIENCE FICTION

JADED JEWEL - Sam Stone (the sixth book in the Vampire Gene series.)
This has been a long time coming, but finally Sam Stone's sixth instalment in her Vampire Gene series is available. It's very much a stand alone novel, as well as continuing the story of the series, and we hope that people will really enjoy Stone's unique blend of horror and fantasy.

JINX MAGIC - Sam Stone (the second book in the Jinx Chronicles)
Another book which has been waiting in the wings for some time, and another which is now available! This is the second in Stone's brilliant post-apocalyptic series of novels ... horrific and thought provoking, the book explores life after an alien invasion ...

WAVEFUNCTION - Bryony Pearce
A standalone YA science fiction/horror novel. It's the story of a lad who finds that he can move between alternate realities, which is exciting until he finds himself lost and alone and unable to return to his own reality. It's a tour de force of a novel from Pearce.

CULT TV

THE TARGET BOOK - David J Howe
Long out of print, The Target Book, the history of the Doctor Who novelisations published by Target is now back in print as a spectacular revised hardback edition.

MADMAN IN A BOX: THE SOCIAL HISTORY OF DOCTOR WHO - David Johnson
A look at how Doctor Who has dealt with social matters over the years, and how it has often predicted developments long before they became commonplace.

FILM

CURSED HORROR STARS - Mark Iveson
A brilliant set of biographies of five Horror Film stars who led somewhat unfortunate and 'cursed' lives. The book studies: Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney Jr, Basil Rathbone, Peter Lorre and Robert Quarry.

RUBBER SHARKS AND WOODEN ACTING - Nico Vaughan
A humourous look at the appeal of 'bad' horror films. Why do we love them so much!

ROMANCE

WHEN LOVE RIDES OUT / THE HOUSE ON THE MOUNTAIN / A GARDEN FAIR / HIGHWAY OF FEAR - Helen McCabe
Four more of Helen McCabe's amazing romances. Spirit yourself away to simpler times, when romance was in the air, and every girl out for adventure had a brooding boy to try and contend with ...

There is of course also our extensive backlist of titles, including non-fiction covering all your favourite Cult television and film series, so please get browsing and pick up some bargains as many older titles are currently discounted and in limited supply on the site.

E-BOOK EDITIONS

Wherever possible we try and make all Telos' titles available on a variety of e-book editions (Kindle, Kobo and Nook), and have been working our way through the backlist as well, again adding them as appropriate. So please have a look at your favourite e-book retailer's site for anything which might be of interest.

We have a programme of getting as many of Telos' titles up onto the e-platforms as we can, so please check to see if any titles you're interested in are now there ... more are added every month.

TELOS ON FACEBOOK

If you're on Facebook then please 'Like' Telos Publishing's page:
https://www.facebook.com/telospublishing/

Facebook has been steadily changing their algorhythms so that when we post things on the site, they are actually seen in the newsfeeds of less than 6% of the people who have liked the page. This doesn't help us as a small business in trying to get news and awareness out there.

So if you see something you like on our page, then please LIKE it and comment on it if you're moved to do so ... but more importantly please SHARE it on your own page. In that way, the news gets spread more widely and people actually get to see what Telos is doing ...

Also, if you have LIKED our page, then you also need to go to the little dropdown arrow beside where it says LIKED and check GET NOTIFICATIONS ... then you stand a greater chance of seeing what we post in your own news feed in the first place.

Thanks to all our customers and friends for doing these things, it will really help us if you can help spread news and awareness of what Telos is doing

Please join and let us know what you think of the books, chat about the covers ... anything that takes your fancy really.  Often new covers are premiered on the Facebook group, and news and details of reviews and other items of interest across the Web are also shared there.

TELOS ON TWITTER

We now have a Twitter Feed, so you can follow us on that site too!:
