The Weekly Catch
The market for classic tackle remains robust. Fine rods and reels have been flying off the shelf of late. I was however able to get away recently for a day trip to the Delaney Buttes Lakes here in Colorado (sans camera), where I christened my recently acquired Marty Karstetter 8'6 5wt hollowbuilt rod. All I can say is that I am in love and will be taking this rod everywhere this year. Marty's rods are beyond awesome. If anyone wants to sell one, please let me know.
I think I'll begin posting a WANT TO BUY section in each newsletter going forward. Here's a list of current customer requests. If you have one or know of any friends willing to sell one, please contact me:
- Hardy Brass Face Perfect 2 5/8" (Houghton)
- Charlton 8550 spey spool only - RHW Mint
- Hardy St. George 3" or 3 3/8" - LHW pre-war
- Saracione SCA 3 5/8"
- Wayne Maca rods
- Marty Karstetter rods
Please see below for more amazing rods and reels listed recently.

For those of you desiring to thin out your classic tackle collection, there's no better time nor place to consign your items than to us here at Vintage Fly Tackle.
