Green Schoolyards America / Spring 2016

Navigate all three of our schoolyard Activity Guides using the new Combined Table of Contents!

May is Living Schoolyard Month in California and International School Grounds Month around the world! We encourage schools across the United States and around the globe to take their students outside during the month of May to celebrate their grounds and use them for hands-on learning, place-based inquiry, art, recreation, health, environmental stewardship and community-building.

We invite you to use our new Combined Table of Contents to explore the wide variety of options in all three of our Activity Guides. Each Activity Guide’s title includes its authors’ home location—but all of the activities are intended to be used at any school, around the world. (Be sure to look at all three Guides!)

Together the Activity Guide set includes a total of 147 schoolyard activities, written by our collaborators from 123 organizations from the United States and 16 other countries. Our International School Grounds Month publication was produced in partnership with the ISGA. We hope these free publications will help you use your school grounds to their fullest in May and throughout the year.

School Ground Activity Guides Table of Contents

We produced a Combined Table of Contents for the Activity Guides, to make it easier to find your favorite activities across the three publications.
