Register now for our pre-conference on HIV criminalisation at AIDS 2016
Beyond Blame @AIDS2016: Challenging HIV Criminalisation is a one day pre-conference for activists, advocates, healthcare professionals, lawyers, policymakers, and anyone else interested in working to end HIV criminalisation.
The meeting is being convened by HIV JUSTICE WORLDWIDE – comprising ARASA, Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network, GNP+, HIV Justice Network, ICW, Sero and PWN-USA – with local partner AIDS Legal Network, and in collaboration with UNAIDS and UNDP.
The pre-conference will include morning plenaries highlighting successes and challenges in the fight against HIV criminalisatiion around the world, afternoon skills-building workshops, and a closing keynote by Justice Edwin Cameron of South Africa's Constitutional Court. A detailed programme will be made available in the weeks prior to the meeting.
This event builds on the success of previous HIV criminalisation pre-conference meetings at the International AIDS Conference, particularly Beyond Blame @ AIDS 2014 in Melbourne, Australia – for more background, read about that meeting or watch a highlights video.
Attendance at the event is free of charge but will require pre-registration (maximum capacity 150).
