Chris Cartwright
At the Elim Leaders Summit in Harrogate this week, the former Elim General Superintendent, John Glass passed on the baton of Elim leadership to the new Elim General Superintendent, Chris Cartwright. As a church we pray for Chris as he settles in to this role.





Gateway Community Cafe

The Community Cafe is open this week between Monday to Friday between 9am - 2.30pm. To keep up to date with what is taking place and weekly specials, please visit the Gateway Community Cafe Facebook Page.


ROC HUB Activities This Week
These ROC activities will be taking place this week: 
- ROC Pool - Wednesday (1pm - 3pm)
- ROC Mini -  Wednesday (3.30pm -5pm)
- Knit & Natter - Thursday (10am - 12pm)
- Shakes - Friday (3.15pm - 5pm)
- ROC Advice - Monday & Friday (9.30am - 11.30am)


Both ROC Mini and Shakes will be finishing for the summer at the end of May.


Spring Fair
There is a Spring Fair taking place in the Gateway Centre on 21st May between 9.30am - 12.30pm. There will be over 20 stalls on display and refreshments available. All profits from table hire and refreshments will be going to Kevin & Teresa's mission.


Grace Forsyth Mission
On Monday 23rd May at 7pm - Ethiopia Missions fundraising evening at the Gateway Centre, Launceston with Grace Forsyth. Come and join with us and have a cuppa or hot chocolate and some delicious cakes to support Grace raise funds to travel to Ethiopia to work in a children's home for the Summer.


New Website

Final Thoughts...
Here we have it, going to church is good for you! According to research, we live longer on earth. 

Now experts have pointed to evidence that going to church could also actively help people live longer in the here and now.

Epidemiologists analysed data charting the lives of more than 74,000 women over a 16-year period and found that the most regular churchgoers were 33 per less likely to die during that time than those who never attended services.

But even those who went to church sporadically appeared to have significantly better survival rates than those who never did so. Read the full article on the telegraph.co.uk website.
