My halow story
"I started working as a Flexible Buddy in 2014 and people around me immediately began to notice how much happier and positive I became. I love the incredible young people I get to work with and have had some lovely experiences! Every day is a different day! I’m now working full time in one of the Supported Living residences with three wonderful girls, who I’ve got to see thrive in becoming more independent each day." Kerry, Supported Living Buddy

The 5th anniversary of the halow250 is a success!
We would like to thank all 105 riders who cycled the 5th halow250 on May Bank Holiday weekend. 3 days of cycling 250 miles from London to Guildford via Northern France was tough but so worth it! Thanks to support from the riders, volunteers, halow supporters and friends & family, the event has raised an amazing total of £85,000! If you missed our daily updates on our website you can find them here. Introducing the 20+ Group Social Activity!
We have had great feedback from young people attending the all-new 20+ Group this month. The evening activity has been created for those who aged 20 and over who want to try outings to pubs, clubs, restaurants and bars. Most recently they have been to Zizzi's Restaurant and the Albany Pub. If you know a young person who would like to go to the next 20+ Group activity please email the Social Activities team. Thank you to the Surrey University students involved in RAG who ran a fundraising Jailbreak Challenge in aid of halow. It aims for students to get as far away as possible from the campus for free. One team got as far as Benidorm, Spain! Fantastic work everyone.
We would like to say a big thank you to our long-time supporters and local pub The Weyside who have supported halow with their weekly pub quiz. They have raised over £500! Want to support halow and test your knowledge? The quiz is at 8pm Wednesdays at only £1 entry.
Some very lucky halow young people were given the opportunity to watch The Queen's 90th Birthday Celebrations at Windsor, thanks to our incredible supporter Waitrose Guildford who made this possible. Read the full article here
