We've met 80 percent of our $50,000 goal to continue our work of taking in, caring for and finding forever homes for the maximum amount of cats and dogs we can. There is still time to be a part of the success! We must see the campaign through to meet our goal, and that's where you come in.

If you have yet to donate, please do so today, and and spread the word by sharing with family and friends. Sending an email, or sharing on Facebook are two impactful ways to spread this message. To donate and learn more, visit CHA's Annual Fund page

Ron and Cheryl Keller have been members of CHA Animal Shelter for the past six years and involved in animal rescue even longer. In the summer of 2013, they purchased Captivating Canines,  located at 12 E. Main St. in Westerville, Ohio. Shortly after, the partnership with CHA began.

Because of the Keller’s long-time relationship with CHA, it made sense to extend that relationship to their new store. The first joint event was held in October 2013 after working out the details with Shelter Director Stephanie Wimbish and previous Lead Adoption Counselor, Jamie Orebaugh.

Mutually beneficial for both organizations, CHA receives generous donations of money and time from Captivating Canines in the form of a sponsorship, and Captivating Canines gets more foot traffic into the store. On a personal level, the Keller’s passion is saving dogs and cats, and that’s exactly what this partnership is all about.

When asked what his favorite thing is about CHA, Ron commented, “The people are great! I’ve never met a friendlier bunch of people, and the pets are always well behaved!” His favorite events are “Pictures with Santa,” held each December and “CHA Adoption Day," held the fourth Saturday of every month.

Captivating Canines contributes to CHA’s success in several ways: monthly adoptions with CHA, "Pictures with Santa," sponsorship of Picnic with the Pups, attendance at other shelter events and referrals to the shelter. Customers at the store continuously ask Ron when the CHA dogs and cats will return. With a location close to Otterbein College, students often come to the store and comment on missing their pets back home. Ron always reminds them the shelter is around the corner and always happy to have new volunteers and visitors!

Thank you Ron, Cheryl and Captivating Canines for all you do for us!

CHA is so grateful for many magnanimous folks who provide supplies for the animals. Some of these great folks are kids! Several area children, including Chloe, Logan and Lilly, chose to forego birthday presents for themselves; instead, they asked their friends to donate supplies to CHA. Way to go, kids! It does our hearts good to know the next generation cares so much about animals who need homes.
