NATIONAL FRUIT AND VEGGIES MONTH
June is national fresh fruit and vegetables month, so come celebrate at the farmers market this Sunday! We have produce from our hardworking farmers: Cosmos Organic Farm, Little Fox Farm, Local Lands Farm, Pearson Farm, Riverview Farm, Truly Living Well and Watsonia Farms. If you're looking for cooking inspiration for produce, visit our blog for recipes from market chefs.
FEATURED VENDOR: PRESERVING PLACE
In honor of national catsup day, Preserving Place is our vendor of the week. Preserving Place handcrafts all of the condiments you need for summer grilling, including catsup, bread & butter pickle relish, sweet onion confit, steak sauce and seafood sauce. Pictured here is Preserving Place's Catsup+ product, a mildly sweet (from honey, not sugar) and slightly smokey (from smoked paprika) catsup that is rich and vivid.
CHEF DEMONSTRATION: WESLEY TRUE
The Optimist's Chef Wesley True will perform this week's chef demonstration, which begins at 12 p.m. He is devoted to sustainable seafood,  which he presents nightly at Westside favorite, The Optimist. Be sure to catch him on Sunday as he shows shoppers how to create a meal from fresh produce and market goods.
CFM COOKBOOK: SPRING
We are proud to present the first edition of our new, community cookbook series. Spring: A Community Farmers Markets Cookbook features recipes collected from our farmers, vendors, market supporters, and chefs, including Steven Satterfield, Billy Allin and Virginia Willis.
