In Honor of Veterans

Dear <<First Name>>:

In Honor of Veterans

When most of us think of Memorial Day, we think of Veterans and, in most cases, those veterans are men.  While the vast majority of military, police, and firefighters may be men, we must recognize the women for their bravery and dedication and, more importantly, for putting themselves in harms way every day.

These women are paving the way for younger generations.  While some may not realize it, they are working toward parity in the workplace and making it easier for the next generation to fill their shoes when they retire.  Some day....we won't look at the female police chief or military general and say "wow, a woman ...."

On May 29, 1943, Rosie the Riveter, by Norman Rockwell, appeared on the cover of the Saturday Evening Post.  Representing the women on the home front, working in factories, while the men went off to war, Rosie reminds us that women are tough, we are resilient, and Yes, We Can Do it!  Whatever "it" may be, when we set our minds to it, We Can Do It!

NWPC California is working hard to ensure that more women are elected in 2016 than at any other time in history.  Help us make this a reality by chipping in, just $5 a month or make a one-time contribution.
