June is an extra special month of the year at LITA
as we remember caring, compassionate Mums, and Dads,
and celebrate Day of the African Child on June 16th!

Education: As we write, the 40 students LITA contributors are supporting in 2016, who range from Primary, to Secondary, to College, are all preparing to return to school next Monday for the beginning of 2nd term!

LITA Music Project: Building confidence and skills to brighten the future of orphaned and vulnerable children
in Uganda!

The Music Project's mission
is to aid and inspire children through music by giving
them the tools, materials
and teaching to make and
play a 3 stringed dulcimer.

Community Development:

We are about to complete building dormitory style housing for 80 orphaned and vulnerable children at a school in eastern Uganda that has an enrollment of over 500 students from the surrounding community.

Along with the two dorms that can accommodate 40 boys and 40 girls, two bathing/latrine facilities and a cooking/food storage building are also being completed.

Thank you to those who have helped bring this dream to life!

Please consider making a contribution as we continue supporting a community based organization called 'ACIO' along the development path to self-sustainability.

'Aids Concern Integrated Org', one of our longest friendships/partnerships in eastern Uganda, needs our collective support to replace crumbling mud/stick classrooms at their growing school with four brick classrooms and two latrines!
