Liz Lewis at June Meeting

Join us in Welcoming Liz Lewis June 1
GWC will hold its monthly meeting on June 1 at 7 pm with guest Liz Lewis, head of Marin County's watershed program. Liz is a staunch advocate for our creeks and streams. This is an excellent way to find out what is happening politically in our watershed.

There is much information about many of Marin's creeks on the County Watershed Program website. Check it out when you are finished watching cat videos :)

De-Fencing the Floating Islands June 3
Friday June 3 at 4 pm intrepid GWC kayakers will take down the fences that have helped protect the islands while the plants get established. We moved the islands last week for their protection from county fair fireworks. Supervisor Damon Connolly will be on hand to commemorate this event!

GWC at County Fair June 30
GWC will be sharing a booth with County Parks and Open Space Rangers at the county fair on Thurs June 30. This is kid's day at the fair and we will have our kid friendly watershed model with sprayers and our small floating island demo, with the real live ones on display in the lagoon. Stop by and say hi!
