Pitchin Cleanup
On May 14, 20 neighbours gathered in the park to clean-up garbage at GPCL's 7th annual Pitch-in Cleanup event. Thank you to everyone who helped make our community a cleaner place to live!

Clean Air Project
Between May 3 and 12 canvassers went door to door in our neighbourhood as part of a household air pollution awareness project entitled "Help Clean Air Please." An informal survey of those who were home discovered that at least one home per half block reported respiratory health problems or concerns to do with one or more of these three matters:
- Neighbourhood wood smoke
- Fragranced dryer vent emissions
- Pesticides spread on lawns by weed companies
These three household pollutants have something in common: they are disseminated into the air, spread to other properties, get inside others' homes, and cannot be contained on the property where they where they originate. For those individuals in our community with chemical sensitivities and health concerns this is an issue.
If you would like copies of their flyers including one on chemical fragrance free laundry products, please visit this site: http://helpcleanair.weebly.com
