Inner change and transformation: Peace Education
This session will include an overview of the Peace Education Programme (PEP) and an opportunity to participate in a mini PEP session. There will be time for questions and you can discover how easy it is to implement the Peace Education Programme.

Ideas and Initiatives for International Day of Peace September 2016

This workshop will showcase examples of what individuals and organisations have done to date to celebrate the UN International Day of Peace in their towns, cities and communities. They range from one-off small scale events to ‘peace festivals’ with a programme of events that last for a week or so. There will also be the opportunity to see part of the Peacecast Broadcast which was seen last year by a worldwide audience.

This interactive session will demonstrate how you can hold your own local 'Peace Day' event and/or have songs, poems and details of your local event included in this year’s Peacecast broadcast which can be beamed back live to your own organisation or community for up to a week this September.

Educational projects and the younger generation

A workshop around the innovative project that Ayrton Cable from WAFA developed to encourage young people to be proactive about the importance of water as a resource and the need to conserve it responsibly.

Roamer® will launch its support for the eco-campaign Water Explorers.  This is a schools-based project already working in 11 different countries.  In the workshop, pupils clean the river so the Roamer® (a salmon) can safely swim to the ocean. They will learn about the science, social, economic and political issues of water. More importantly, the task nurtures qualities which will make students global citizens and ambassadors for positive change.

Attend the workshop, play with Roamer® and find out how it works.

World Cafe Discussion Workshop
Clean Energy
Germany has been called 'the world's first major renewable energy economy'.
Peak-generation from combined wind and solar reached a previous all-time high of 74% in April 2014, and wind power saw its best day ever on December 12, 2014, generating 562 GWh.

Is it feasible/desirable for the UK to be committed to a similar goal, and if so how will we achieve this?

Breaking News ....

Leon Stuparich has been confirmed as Keynote speaker. With an extensive background in film and television, in the early 1990s he watched his Croatian family endure the violent war years of the former Yugoslavia. He developed a keen interest in conflict resolution and self transformation, which would inspire and inform his work, including his debut film Road to Peacea documentary about the Dalai Lama
