The latest from EM Solutions, including maritime terminals, conferences and lots more!

It's been a busy quarter here at EM Solutions. Our engineering team has been busy with both Inmarsat GX and WGS certification activities and we have exhibited at Satellite 2016 in Washington, the Australian Satellite Forum in Sydney and participated at an Inmarsat GX Bootcamp in Canberra and a technology showcase at CANSEC 16 in Ottawa. Our CEO alone has been in 8 countries, 4 continents and too many meetings to count!

This month we will be attending CommunicAsia in Singapore and hosting numerous customer visits in Brisbane as our Cobra maritime terminal deliveries gather pace. At the 2016 Australian Satellite Forum in early May, Rowan participated in a panel on the status of the Global Maritime market for Government and Military users – a very relevant topic given our recent activities.

Global Xpress Boot Camp Showcases EM Solutions Technology
You might have noticed the term 'innovation' is used liberally around the world right now, but do you really know what it truly takes to be an innovator?

Innovation isn't for the faint of heart and mobile satellite giant Inmarsat has set out to educate Australia by hosting a series of boot camps to highlight the importance of innovation and explain just how it's done. EM Solutions is proud to be in partnership with Inmarsat and they've chosen to showcase one of our products in the Global Xpress series as a leader in innovative microwave technology!

NEW Cobra Terminal

If you are interested in the latest advancements on multi band terminals for simultaneous X and Ka Band maritime satellite services please download our the new data sheet for the EM Solutions Cobra Maritime Terminal. Queensland Government Research Grant awarded
to EM Solutions Fellow

Dr Yifan Wang, an applied electromagnetics scientist working with EM Solutions and the University of Queensland has been awarded a fellowship from the Queensland Government as part of the 'Advance Queensland' initiative. Yifan's work aims to design and develop an innovative flat-panel satellite antenna for Ka-band satellite-terminal with reconfigurable capabilities.

The project also falls under the National Strategic Research Priority Area: Frontier Technologies for Building and Transforming Australian Manufacturing Industries and is an opportunity to promote Australia’s capability for developing frontier satellite terminals. EM Solutions wishes to congratulate Yifan and for those interested in following his progress - watch this space!
