From the President

Residence Hall Contract Signed
Final approval and signing of the partnership to build a 243 bed residence hall directly across the street from the Newton-Hobson Chapel Auditorium has been accomplished! Final design planning, parking lot detailing and arranging to start clearing the space for construction are underway. This hall, to be completed by Fall 2017, will allow for growth in traditional housing and the repurposing of Stuart Bennett for the School of Business, the Social Science Division and a new Gap Year program. This project carries no risk or budget implications for SWU, and will help catapult enrollment into the future. To God be the Glory!

Irrigation Gifts Received
Resulting from-kind gifts and generous donations for these projects, the baseball and softball fields will finally have permanent irrigation installed this summer. This project has been in the works for at least seven years, and we are so thankful for this final successful outcome!

Amphitheatre Making Progress
Gifts continue to be received on the way to the completion of the amphitheater located between the New Christian Ministries Building and the Chapel Auditorium. Many thanks to our faithful maintenance and grounds teams for their dedication to this in-house project. It will be a beautiful and exciting addition to the campus!
