What is the social pillar of  rights? European Commission consultation

During our Annual General Assembly in April, MHE mentioned to some of you the newly announced Social Pillar of Rights. Once established, the Pillar of social rights should become a reference framework to screen the employment and social performance of participating Member States, to drive reforms at national level. We have put together a short explanation that you can find HERE. As the EU Commission has launched a year long consultation to which MHE will respond in the second half of the year, we will be  seeking the views of our membership.  Therefore we invie you to read more about the social pillar in view of submitting your comments after the summer.

Call for support: the Vulnerable project

The Vulnerable project is a EU initiative which aims at increasing our understanding of how best to improve the health of people who are living in vulnerable and isolated situations across Europe. The project targets a wide range of groups considered as disadvantaged including people with mental health problems, people living with physical, mental and learning disabilities and the long-term unemployed. Project partners are looking for organisations working with such groups to distribute a questionnaire to appropriate individuals in order to receive some qualitative answers on their experience of health access. Please contact Sascha Marschang (EPHA) for further info.
