Acting Out welcomes John D'Aquino, veteran actor and master teacher June 25th and 26th! Starring in popular shows like Cory in the House, Hannah Montana, Shake it Up, CSI and Seinfeld, you don't want to miss out on this one. Read below for class descriptions and a link to John's full bio!

                                             Class #1
How To Make Funny- This is John’s signature comedy course that he’s taught for Disney Channel, which creates a math to making people laugh! Students practice one-liners, three step jokes, list building ideas and 180/Misdirections. Plus, learn how substituting simple punctuations can change everything in comedies. Get ready to have your funny bone tickled and activated while learning the essential components of great comedic performances. 

                                            Class #2

Intro to Camera/Magic Rectangle- De-mystify acting for the camera with John’s simple math for delivering dynamic and indelible on-camera performances. John’s technique will immediately improve your taped auditions by imposing structure on the imaginary canvas of the fourth wall that exists around the camera. This is a great place to start if you have not previously trained with John. This is one of John’s signature classes mastered and taught by all his studio instructors.

                   (Approved students only)
Advanced (invite only) On-Camera Class w/ Scene Work- Applying some of the Magic Rectangle Technique, you will perform a scene with several partners while learning to direct that performance into the “money” zone that exists around the camera. Learn “eye-lines” and to whom you give dramatic emphasis. This class will change how you audition as well as you deliver captivating performances on TV and film.
