Dear colleagues,

We are looking forward to welcoming you to the beautiful city of Valencia for the 24th ENCATC Annual Conference “Cultural Management Education in Risk Societies - Towards a Paradigm and Policy Shift?!” to be held from 5-7 October 2016. Join academics, researchers, cultural operators, artists, policy makers, students and media from Europe and around the globe to explore what are consequences risk society has for education in general and for cultural management education.

Which knowledge, skills and attitudes are required nowadays to become a cultural manager that is able to respond to changes? Or do we need to look beyond the classical knowledge and competencies? And how can we teach students also entrepreneurial skills, which are more characterized by risk-taking, dealing with uncertainty and unpredictability in a digitalized and globalized environment? And do the recent adaptations of several cultural management programmes to cultural entrepreneurship reflect a broader and deeper paradigm shift?

In this Annual Conference news we invite you to download our brochure that includes the a presentation of this year's theme, the programme, our keynote speakerstudy visits, ways members and non members can contribute expertise and experiencespractical information and more! And with special early bird rates don't wait to reserve your place!
