Alliance Launches New Talent Attraction Website
Hello Alliance Investors,
Economic development is increasingly focused on “talent attraction” rather than “business attraction.” This is because of an developing trend for businesses move to where they can find talented employees, rather than trying to move talented employees to their business location.
As a result, the Alliance identified talent attraction website as the next step in its efforts to promote talent attraction and retention here. This would complement our trailing spouse program, the Movers & Shakers initiative that we partnered on with Mercy Health Foundation, and our Professional Development Program for managerial training.
We are very proud of the site and want to give a special thanks to our marketing team- Beth McMacken of Athena Communication and Lynn Martens of Heyred Marketing, as well as Scott Smith of Imagesmith Photography- for the excellent work they did in putting this together.
The page is designed for
• 30-50 year olds who are either:
o considering a new job in our region
o homebased workers looking for a town that would fit their lifestyle, or
o an outdoor-oriented small business owner.
We will be adding more features to the site over time, so please keep an eye open on it. These features will include videos, a job bank, and other “interactive” features to engage visitors to the page when they come to learn about Durango and La Plata County.
