The Tide Pool Series installation explores the flow of water as it rises and falls between the rocks and the pieces mimic the blue mussels often found in these tidal zones. To make this installation work in your living space, these pieces have been assembled onto reclaimed wood in curving compositions that also mimic the flow of water. These pieces are small spoon shaped shells with vibrant blue interiors. Each board has a hook on the back for easy wall mounting and each ceramic piece has been wired in place. There are only 5 pieces left in this series, so pick out your favorite soon!
To view these pieces in the wild, here are Portfolio Images of the outdoor installation and be sure to check out the Video of the Installation too! As the pieces were placed in the sand during the installation, the waves occasionally rolled in and kissed the edges of the pieces, gently moving them and washing them with sand without disrupting the forms.

If you missed the last email to hit your inbox, it contained some pretty big news! Here's what you missed...
We are excited to announce that Earth Art Studio will be moving! We will be relocating to a huge warehouse on the westside of Santa Cruz among a community of local talented artists. We will be launching the new space by October for Santa Cruz County Open Studios Art Tour.
Summer Workshops and Adult Clay Classes will continue at the Aptos studio until the end of July, so if you want to get in a class, now's the time!
Earth Art Studio has been growing and thriving for the past 12 years out of our home and we have loved having you be a part of it. Over the past few years as my art has taken off, space has become limited in the studio and we've found ourselves busting at the seams. So we've quietly been keeping an eye out for a larger studio space that can accommodate the growth.
As thrilled as we are for all the changes, we are also sad to leave this place behind, you have helped make memories here and we want to thank you ALL for your support of over a decade of creativity that has happened in this studio. We feel so privileged to have had you as a part of our lives here and we hope you join us on our next adventure!
Much Love, Jenni & Nate Ward

I have teamed up with the talented Kathy Barbro of Art Projects for Kids to create this new series of ebooks with 5 step-by-step classroom tested clay projects in each book.
If you like to work with clay, but need some new ideas with clear visual instructions, then this is the book for you. These books make great gifts for teachers too!
One of the best ways you can support working artists is by spreading the word and sharing their work with others who would enjoy it too. Please forward this email onto them using one of the share links below.
