Dianne Meili - Medicine for the People
May 29th - June 24th 2016

The Woman had not taken food or water for some time
Now, as she sat before the river
Above her Ravens danced in the Blue Sky
Touching wings, circling, calling her name
A vision appeared
“There will come a time of great peace
All Creatures will live in harmony
All tribes will unite for common good
People will laugh and sing songs
And Speak with the animals once again
This time will come
A time of Great Medicine for the People.”
She arose
Viewing the morning sun beams
She said,
“It is a good day to have this vision”
Adapted from a poem by Bill Worrell, Texas Shaman

Come to the gallery June 21st from 6-9pm to celebrate National Aboriginal Day, at the Multicultural Heritage Centre.

There will be speakers, art, music,
traditional dance and food.
