May 2016
The Devil's Cradle
Development

My timeline on Facebook tells me we were finished with production for the Deadly Sanctuary Movie, had the glorious Premiere a year ago March, and the enthusiastic crowd of 600 loved it.

Now 2016 brings us to a new beginning with The Devil's Cradle! We have a chance to improve the next movie based on what we learned from the first.

First we have a new director. William "Bill" Wages. See the bio to learn about his years as a cinematographer/director. His 40 plus years working in Hollywood will be a fantastic asset!

Bill and his screenwriting partner, Phil Bellury, are working in collaboration with Sylvia Nobel revising the script right now.

And finally Pete Brown and Sylvia have been scouting locations in the Superior, Globe, Miami area. So it is our goal to shoot it
in sunny Arizona, with it's beautiful weather and unbelievable scenery!

 Author Luncheon
Sylvia Nobel hosted an author’s lunch for Mary Ann Yakel and friends at the delightful Coup Des Tartes, www.coupdestartes.com, 1725 E. Osborn, Phoenix, AZ on Wednesday, May 18th.
The author’s lunch was a prize at a fund-raising benefit for the Justa Center,
www.justacenter.org, 1001 W. Jefferson, Phoenix, AZ 85007, 602-254-6524. The Justa Center provides services for homeless retired men and women. Of the 130 people a day, 50% are veterans. They find homes and provide personal services so they can function as meaningful members of society.  Operating with no government funds, the organization is a faith based outreach utilizing the 211 community info line and referrals to get to those in need. A $300 starter kit, including  things they will need, like a mattress and linens, start women on the road to care, which may include extended help.
The women attending the luncheon Lucinda Michalski, Barbara Lewkowitz "Exec. Dir. Justa Center, LeeAnn Sharpe, Judy Schmidt, Mary Ann Yakel, & Phyllis Payne, all enjoyed stories behind the scenes of how Sylvia had created such fascinating books. Their questions like, “How did you come up with the characters?” and “What was the process of getting published like?” all were answered with humorous, but real situations that entertain the gathering. “Deadly Sanctuary” her first book and title of her movie provided the basis for many questions. Her five mystery novels and two romance books were were the topic of conversation .
