Hello families! It is the last week of school and we would like you to take advantage of all the Summer Camp opportunities!

WHO: HERC in Collaboration with Rafiki Coalition
WHAT: Summer Asthma Day Camp – FREE
WHEN: June 1st through June 3rd from 9:30am – 2:30pm
WHERE: Our Lady of Lourdes Event Hall, 410 Hawes Street (at Innes Avenue)
CONTACT:/NOTES: Learn how to manage asthma triggers! Enjoy fun field trips! Healthy meals provided (Breakfast, Lunch, and Snacks)! Children ages 6-10 with asthma and their siblings are welcome. Transportation is available for Bayview and Sunnydale residents. Applications are due May 27th. To request an application and more information call 415-615-9945 ext, 116 or 117.
 
WHO: Bay Leaf Kitchen
WHAT:/WHEN: Summer Cooking Camp – 5 Weeks (see details below)

CONTACT:/NOTES: Bay Leaf Kitchen summer camps teach hands-on cooking basics with a focus on fresh and healthy ingredients. Every week-long session includes an overnight farm trip where we will harvest vegetables, cook, play in the dirt and camp out at a local farm. Each session offers unique programming, making Bay Leaf Kitchen Camp ideal for kids who want to do multiple sessions. While each camp differs in activities and guests, every session of Bay Leaf Kitchen Summer Camp offers experiences rooted in community, sustainability and play! Bay Leaf Kitchen camp also focuses on fun, physical activity to teach campers that a balanced lifestyle that pairs good food and exercise will make for a healthy life!  Campers will have the opportunity to work with Bay Area fitness experts (from Yoga to core strength building) and learn easy, fun ways to bring simple fitness into their everyday lives. Hours: 9:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday, plus the Thursday night camp-out sleepover. Campers Ages: 8 to 12
Jr. Counselors In Training, Summer Ages: 13 - 15 (see below for information on Sr. CITs - aged 16 - 18)
Group Size: Limited to 24 campers & 4 Jr. Counselors In Training (CIT) Cost: The camper rate is $750 and the Jr. CIT, Summer rate is $550. Cost includes transportation to farm, snacks, lunch and extra samples to take home for the whole week! Financial aid is available to those in need. Please click LINK to see scholarship opportunity and registration!
