Don't Get Caught out in the Storms
Sydney is becoming notorious for it's wild storms. The Bureau of Meteorology says that NSW averages 100 damaging storms each year, mostly on Summer afternoons.

However, the storms and floods we saw in early June 2016 shows they can occur anytime.

El Toro typically get an influx of desperate householders trying to arrange last-minute gutter cleans as a storm approaches, and during!
We do our best to get to everyone we can, but inevitably, some people miss out.

How To Be Prepared
There's no set frequency to clean gutters that suits every place. Each house has unique factors, meaning some places should have their gutters cleaned every 6 weeks or 3 months, others annually.
Every time we clean gutters, we check the roof for any visible defects, Eg. broken tiles, and report back. We can also suggest a good routine that suits you.
Keeping your gutters and downpipes clear allows the rain to get away from the house as intended, preventing water leaking back into the house or onto the footings.
So, if you suspect you have a build up of debris on the roof and in the gutters, having them cleaned could not only save you money, but bring peace of mind.
