Pederson's go-ahead single

Games played May 25, 2016

Joc Pederson's bases-loaded, two-run single put the Dodgers up for good in a 3-1 win over Cincinnati. Until then, he had been 1-for-12 in his career with the bags full. It was the second game in a row where Pederson's 4th-inning hit proved the game-winner. It also came half an inning after the 24-year-old crashed into the centerfield wall trying unsuccessfully to snare a Jay Bruce fly ball; Bruce was tagged out moments later while trying to pull off an inside-the-park home run. Pederson leads the Dodgers in HRs (8), RBIs (24), walks (23), and strikeouts (43). He ranks second in on-base percentage (.370), slugging percentage (.544), and OPS (.882).

Milwaukee LF Ryan Braun singled, doubled, and drew two walks -- one of them intentional -- in a 3-2, extra-inning win over Atlanta. He now has reached base in 27 straight games, the third-longest active streak in the Majors.

Toronto CF Kevin Pillar singled in an 8-4 win over the Yankees.

Oakland 3B Danny Valencia went 0-for-3 in a 13-3 loss to Seattle. FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal says the A's are considering trading the great-hitting, meh-fielding 31-year-old.

Can someone cut Ryan Kalish a break? The 28-year-old left fielder, who has endured nine surgeries in his pro career, was designated for assignment earlier this month after a brief call-up with the Cubs. Now, appendicitis has prevented him from playing for the club's Triple-A team.

Flu-like symptoms kept Detroit 2B Ian Kinsler out of the lineup for a second straight day. Also absent Wednesday was Tigers manager Brad Ausmus, whose mother passed away.

Scott Feldman did not play in Houston's 4-3 win over Baltimore.
