Prevention Week in Raymond!
We have had a very busy week as we recognize prevention with many of our partners.
Each day this week there has been some form of awareness and information sharing at Raymond High School. This Friday is Prom. We want to make sure our students have safe celebrations, enjoy their evening and have memories to last a lifetime.
On Wednesday, the Improbable Players visited both our Middle and High School. They presented to all students in grades 5 - 12 and were very well received. Pictures are posted on our RCFY Facebook Page The name of the production was I'll Never Do That. This message was printed on lanyards, along with the link to www.rcfy.org to access resources and information. A special thank you to Lamprey Health Care and the NH Council on the Arts for funding to support this.
On Friday morning People Care will be visiting Raymond High School. They have been asked to return by popular demand! These young people in recovery tell their story and explain how experimenting with substances had an impact on their lives.
Throughout the week several videos were shown during lunch. They are great conversation starters and full of information. If you are interested they are:

Need Resources? Talking tips? Info? Our easy to follow icons now lead to easy to find information. Parents there are some great tips on what to do if your teen is going to a party or having a party.
Its not too late! The Raymond Coalition for Youth Heroin/Drug Task force wants to hear from you, it will just take a moment of your time to complete this quick survey. All information is collected anonymously but results will be shared after the survey closes on June 17th. Please feel free to share the link and encourage others to participate.
June 9th, 9 - 10:30 am, Regional Economic Development Center, Our next Raymond Coalition for Youth monthly meeting. The Boys and Girls Club of Manchester will join us to have a conversation about having a Club here in Raymond. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Marijuana Oil Potency Raises Concerns for Youth - Marijuana oil is approximately four times more potent than smoked cannabis—a concern as youth perceptions of marijuana risk decrease.
Our Volunteers are the Best! This week we had a breakfast to recognize the dedication and work that our volunteers provide. A special thank you to you all. RCFY is not one or two people. It truly is many, many, many people and organizations working collaboratively together to make a difference and we appreciate you all!
Its a Holiday weekend and Prom. We hope everyone has a great time, celebrates responsibly and remembers, it is illegal to provide alcohol to minors
