~ News ~

I'm pleased to announce that I have now updated my website. It's been long over due. I think it gives a fresh perspective on the services I provide, my contact details remain the same.

Really happy to hear from you, what you think of the new site. As you know, these things are never finished, so its a work in progress!

You will find links to the newsletters I've been sending out so for those of you who have just joined don't worry, you can still find the past information.

Those keen on more information now, please click and follow the links at the bottom of the page.

A reminder, although you may think postage to be a burden, it's offset by my quick turn around times and quality workmanship. Drop your gun into your nearest dealer and ask them to send it to me as a repair, presto, its that easy!

Looking forward to sharing the love of guns and interests in my life with you.
Thank you for your time and please feel free to forward this newsletter to anyone that you think it may be of interest too.

May your bores stay clean and your stocks well oiled,
Rolf Hey.

Bushmans Meatloaf
Recipe compliments from Liz Posmyk of Bizzy Lizzy's Good Things
and adjusted by me to suit my own tastes.

Ingredients
  • 500g beef mince
  • 500g pork mince
  • one onion finely chopped
  • teaspoon garlic paste
  • 8 small mushrooms finely chopped
  • 8 cherry tomatoes finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons parsley finely chopped
  • shake of turmeric
  • shake of chili powder
  • I cup of bread crumbs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • sesame seeds
  • one egg

Method:
  • Pre heat oven to 190 degrees C. Brush or spray the base and sides of a heavy-based loaf tin with olive oil. Combine all of the ingredients (except the sesame seeds) in a large bowl. With clean hands work the ingredients together until they are well mixed. Press the meat in to the prepared tin, pat down the top and brush or spray a little olive oil, then sprinkle over the sesame seeds. Bake for 40 minutes or so until well browned.
  • This recipe should serve 6-8
  • This is one of the best recipes for meatloaf I've ever eaten which is moist. Feel free to adjust seasonings to suit your own tastes.

Gunsmithing is indeed an art and takes us into a world where
grubby fingers, the smell of gun oil, tallow, woodshavings and linseed oil are the norm.
