Dear <<First Name>>,

Government proposals to dismantle teachers terms and conditions, removal of parent governors and abolition of Qualified Teacher Status will have an impact on your school, whether you work in a community school, a church school or an academy. In particular, Nicky Morgan wants to weaken, and ultimately abolish, national terms and conditions for teachers, at the same time as George Osbourne continues to cut school funding. The NUT is currently balloting for strike action in defence of terms and conditions, and school funding. We are asking all members to vote YES.

Join us at Hanwell Fields Primary from 3.30pm on Monday (13th June) to discuss these crucial issues and find out what you can do to support the NUT strike action ballot and the wider campaign to defeat government proposals and protect our schools.
Kevin Courtenay, NUT Deputy General Secretary, explains the importance of the campaign against the government's attack on our pay and conditions of service.
The proposed White Paper, even after Nicky Morgan's climb down, will cause distraction from our main purpose of educating children.
