LATIN AMERICA:
Mexican organization, Controla Tu Gobierno, is leading advocacy campaigns to include a water sector-specific perspective to the agenda of the Open Government Partnership (OGP). A panel was held at the OGP Americas regional meeting on May 31, to address for the first time how OGP National Action Plans can contribute to making data on water access/consumption available and encouraging citizen participation.

KENYA:
The Kenya Water and Sanitation Civil Society Network launched the 2nd edition of the CSO Annual water and Sanitation Performance Report 2015 on June, 2016.The straightforward and critical report builds on information about WASH and WRM projects of 65 CSOs, CBOs, and other non-state actors from 28 counties in Kenya.

INDONESIA:
The Integrity Management Toolbox is being adapted for use by river basin organizations in a multi-stakeholder approach with the Jasa Tirta state Corporation and cewas. The new toolbox is being piloted and validated in the Brantas river basin in Indonesia (Java) and 16 organizations just participated in the first implementation workshop (June 14-16).

BENIN:
A consortium of civil society organizations in Benin, led by WIN partner the Benin Global Water Partnership (PNE Benin), has organized first consultations with the Government's reform commission to advocate for the inclusion of a right to water and sanitation in the constitution. This is a first step in enabling better regulation of the sector in Benin.

GERMANY:
The WIN secretariat team is growing! We're pleased to welcome: Flora Ohlsen - Team Assistant, Umrbek Allakulov - Research and Development Officer, and Elsabijn Koelman - Nework and Communications Officer. They will support us to engage with the network and build our knowledge on the costs of corruption in the water sector.

Upcoming events

26/06 - 01/07: Aguasan community of practice workshop 2016, focused on SDG implementation. WIN will be present to discuss integrity in multi-stakeholder processes in the sector.

27/06 - 01/07: Water Integrity training at the Centre des Metiers de l'Eau of ONEA in Ouagadougou, a state training centre for professionals of the water sector in Burkina Faso.

18/07 - 22/07: Technical sessions at Africa Water Week in Dar es Salaam. WIN will be discussing what policy shifts are needed to bring integrity to the water sector and how this will support the achievement of SDG6.

28/08 - 02/09: Stockholm World Water Week 2016 - Get ready for integrity events and big discussions on how the water sector can perform better and move on Agenda 2030 with more transparency, accountability, participation, and anti-corruption measures.
