SLHS Students Awarded Over $221,000 At Senior Recognition Night

 This year's Senior Recognition Night was held at SLHS on Friday, June 3.  Students received over $221,000 in scholarships that evening with $98,000 by the San Leandro Scholarship Foundation and $123,700 coming from other resources.  Additionally, students received $1.6 million in renewable scholarships directly from the college of their choice.  Pirates from the class of 2016 have been accepted to each of the UC's, most of the CSU's, Chabot, Lane, as well as 28 additional colleges and trade schools throughout the US. In all 140 graduates were recognized.

The second week of June was a busy one for many families. Monday, June 6, nearly 100 students from Lincoln Alternative Education Center graduated at the Arts and Entertainment Center. Next the students at Bancroft and John Muir Middle Schools held promotion ceremonies on June 8, sending over 575 students on to high school next year.  Lastly, 539 students at San Leandro High School were conferred diplomas at Burrell Field on June 9.
