Philippians 2:1-11, Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
Sunday will be a special Sunday in a couple of ways.  Worship will begin at 9:30am for the summer and our kids will be with us for the entire service!  My tandem mountain biking race partner was scheduled to be in town this weekend and attend our worship service.  In preparation for his coming, I have been preparing a message on What I learned about Jesus through tandem riding.  He called me on Sunday to tell me that at a 100 mile race in Ohio last Saturday, we wiped out and broke his collar bone so will not be coming.  However, the show must go on and I am still going to bring a message on the above topic and have my tandem prop with Sunday.  A couple of months ago I prepared this message for 800 high schoolers in Holland MI.  Then at the mens retreat, I tweaked it again for that group.  It has been well received, God be praised.  I think this will be engaging for the kids, so they will remain with us for the message.  Nursery is available for family needs, but the Young Children's Worship time during the service will not take place, our children will remain with us in worship.

In preparation for Sunday, read Philippians 2:1-11.  Also read Ecclesiastes 4:9-12.  There are some significant clues in these two texts as to what I have learned about Jesus from Tandem Racing.  Peace to you!

See you Sunday!
Pastor Mark

New Start Time for Sunday Worship
Please remember that this Sunday June 12thwe will begin worship service at 9:30am for the rest of the summer. If you forget and show up at 9am no worries--you can make the coffee :)

No Young Children's Worship this Sunday
Pastor Mark has prepared a special sermon meant for ALL ages so the children will remain with us for the message.  The Nursery will be available for the little ones.

Children's Sunday School
Our wonderful Sunday School program is now ended for the summer months.  Classes will resume in September.

Neighborhood Barbecues at Crestview
You may have noticed that Crestview's Summertime Barbecues have a new name:  "Neighborhood Barbecues."  This summer we will use our 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month BBQs to reach out to the people in our neighborhoods--those living close to Crestview Church building as well as your own neighbors. Please be praying that this outreach, as well as all that we do as a church body, will be guided by, and pleasing to, the Lord.

Special Barbecue Outreach on June 22
June 22 is Bike to Work Day.  It also means biking home, and Crestview wants to take advantage of an outreach opportunity.  We're an official Bike-to-Work site, inviting cyclists to stop by Crestview for our summertime BBQ!  It will be a casual way for Crestview members to show our love to people in our community.  Remember: our number one strength in the Healthy Church survey was Loving Relationships.  Let's show this love in a big way!  ONE IMPORTANT CHANGE FOR JUNE 22:  We will begin our BBQ at 5pm, not 6pm, since cyclists will be leaving work at that time.  So please bring your side dishes and desserts - AND BRING EXTRA - to share along with burger, brats and veggie burgers.  If you have questions, contact Eleanor Needy, Margaret VanAndel or Jackie LaMaire.

Quist Family Move-in Party, June 18
This Sunday after the service, Pastor Mark will travel to Holland, Michigan where he, Deone and Anna will spend the week preparing for the move to Boulder.  At 9:00am on Saturday, June 18, the Crestview Family (that's you and me) will meet the Quist's at church and help them move into their new home.  Hope to see you there. What a wonderful blessing that day will be for us all!
- Debbie

Congregational Meeting
Please mark your calendars to attend the congregational Meeting on Sunday, June 26 right after the service.

Pastor Mark Installation Celebration
On Sunday, July 17, Mark Quist will be officially installed as pastor of Crestview Church.  Add this to your calendar and plan on attending this service to praise God for His mercy and blessings on our Fellowship through His gift to us of the Quist Family.

Sign up for Crestview camping!
July 29-31 in beautiful Golden Gate State Park, just 50 minutes drive from Boulder.  If camping isn’t your thing, then plan to come for the day on Saturday. All you will miss is 2 nights of questionable sleep. There will be vaguely organized activities during the day on Saturday, all accessible straight from the campsite (hiking, biking (road and mountain), fishing and of course hanging out at camp). We will have our Crestview service in God’s amazing outdoors around 5pm on Saturday.  Crestview will cover the cost of the campsite, you will be responsible for the park entry fee ($7 per day). Invite your outdoor loving neighbors!
Email Eleanor to reserve your spot. (eleneedy@yahoo.com) ……….first come, first served. (Include number of people, number of vehicles, currently we have tent only sites – let me know if a camper/RV site is needed)

Request for Help from Borderless Friends Forever
We have received an urgent request for host families to take in English-speaking teenagers from Spain who are seeking a "cultural immersion" experience. A BFF employee had a crisis situation and, unfortunately, finding living situations for nine of their students slipped through the cracks. They will need housing for four weeks, June 21-July 19.  If you are interested, please contact me at office@crestviewchurch.org and I will send you the information.
- Thank you, Debbie
