Summer has started in Ukraine
Our spring has been a whirl of activity, with teams arriving, family coming to visit and a wedding, we have had lots to do.

Family in Ukraine
After six years of being in Ukraine, Meg's parents finally came! It is such a joy to show any family members or friends around our home and city. Meg's parents had the privilege to be here for Orthodox Easter and to help with different activities at our YWAM center. We showed them around the area, visiting castles and abandoned buildings. They also celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary in Ternopil, what a great way to celebrate! We ended our time together in Turkey for a dear friend's wedding. We were so blessed to have them with us.

Staff Retreat
Every year it happens, we take a few days as staff to stop our normal work and just be together. We held our staff retreat at the base for four days. Together we had devotions, worship and prayer, we shared our goals for the coming years, had some games together and went on an excursion. It is important that we spend fun time together and not just work time.

A team from the states!
We are happy to have teams come and work with us. We had the honor of hosting a team from Montana. They did a variety of things, from speaking at drug rehab centers, to teaching English in schools and clubs. They were also bold and did dramas on the street and were able to talk to different people. We enjoyed setting up the different opportunities and working with them for the two weeks that they were with us.

Marriage Week
Marriage Week is an international event that focus' on celebrating family. This was the first time that there was an event in Ternopil despite there being many events in other cities in Ukraine for many years. There were concerts and games in the parks, we had special speakers come and share on the importance of family, we showed different movies and ended the week with a parade through the city. It was a great opportunity to emphasize family and the importance of husbands and wives spending time together as well as with their children.
