Save your plate! Cobb Restaurant Week returns September 17 – 24 for its eighth year. Participating restaurants will offer pre-selected three course meals for $15, $25, or $35 per person. Cobb Restaurant Week is a great way to experience all of the local favorites and experience different culinary styles. Foodies rejoice!
 
By supporting Cobb Restaurant Week, sponsors will receive maximum exposure prior, during and after the event. Sponsorship is divided into three levels: Executive Chef, Sous Chef and Pastry Chef. Each level offers an opportunity to boost awareness among Cobb County and metro Atlanta consumers as well as reach those visiting Cobb.If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please click here.

Slide & Ride

Known as the world’s largest inflatable water slide, the Acworth Slide is now open for the summer! Located at Dallas Landing Park on the beach, the slide is a towering 36 feet high and can be seen from across the lake. Daily rates start as low as $4 and season passes are available. Juneteenth Weekend Extravaganza

Celebrate Juneteenth with a weekend full of events, hosted by the Cobb County NAACP. To kick off the weekend on Friday, June 17 is the Evening Under the Stars, with jazz, blues, spoken word, and more. On Saturday, come out to the Culture Festival with vendors, entertainment, and fun for everyone. The weekend ends Sunday with the Gospel Festival. All events will be taking place at Glover Park at Marietta Square and are free to the public! Register to volunteer and read more about the events by clicking here.

Get a blanket, a cooler, and your favorite friends and family! Free concerts are here to provide fun and entertainment for everyone. Here’s a list of free concerts this month:
Smyrna Summer Concert Series – Saturday, June 11
The Retreat, cover band performing the hits of today and yesterday
 Mable House Candlelite Concert – Saturday, June 18
The Dappled Grays, Atlanta’s bluegrass band
 Glover Park Concert Series – Friday, June 24
Sons of Sailors, a Jimmy Buffet Tribute Band

DC Super Friends + Blue Hawk + Wahoo Racer

Six Flags Over Georgia is now home to the world’s first DC Super Friends! This new themed area offers superhero and villain themed rides that are perfect for kids of all ages. Formerly known as the Ninja and newly named by voters, Blue Hawk opens on June 9. The ride will honor the nation’s heroes with a military theme throughout the ride. At Six Flags White Water, the new 60 foot Wahoo Racer is now open! The multi-lane water slide allows guest to race against friends and family at amazing speeds.

On the Big Screen

See the best family-friendly movies for free! Enjoy King Fu Panda 3 in Kennesaw on June 4 at Swift Cantrell Park. The Mable House Amphitheatre in Mableton will also be offering movies all summer, including ‘Hotel Transylvania 2’ on June 17. 

A Surprise for the #ZachPack

Zach Seabaugh from Season 9’s “The Voice” is returning home on June 15th for a one-night-only concert at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. Seabaugh will share the stage with fellow contestant and finalist Emily Ann Roberts, presented by the Marietta Daily Journal and Open Roads Highway Entertainment. Use code SUMMER for 50% off tickets! The Battery Atlanta Announces New Concepts

Eight new restaurant, retail, and entertainment concepts are coming to The Battery Atlanta and are set to be ready by opening day in 2017. Establishments include Wahlburgers, a burger concept from celebrity brothers Mark and Donnie Wahlberg, Kings Bowl, a bowling and entertainment destination, Mountain High Outfitters, an outdoor specialty store, and more. Town Center Adds and Improves

One of the premier shopping destinations in Cobb County, The Town Center at Cobb has opened several new stores and has plans to expand on others. Austin 5, BoxLunch, and Windsor Fashions are among the new businesses and favorites like Kay Jewelers and College Station will be moving to bigger and better spaces. Marietta Museum of History Goes Blue

For the entire summer, military personnel and their families can enjoy free entry to The Marietta Museum of History! The museum is part of Blue Start Museums, a program that has offered free admission to active duty personnel since summer 2010. Free admission is available through Labor Day and covers up to five family members. Visit the museum’s website to learn more and see current exhibits.
