RVAg is hosting a Chef's Demo at the Rassawek Spring Jubilee on both June 4th and 5th, from Noon to 2pm. The demonstrations, presented by Green Acres Farm of Louisa and Lickinghole Creek Craft Brewery, will be featuring Chef Stefan Boutchyard, who will be pairing Green Acres' pork and LCCB's craft beer together with some delicious farm fresh produce from Manakin Market.

Check out the menu and come visit us up on the Hilltop for a taste! Chef is making a salad with The Heir Apparent (LCCB beer) and macerated strawberries with a light balsamic stout vinaigrette, tossed with arugula and Blueberry Walnut Pork Medallions, marinated with Supreme Leader (LCCB beer).

I had a blast at NBC12 on Wednesday. I'm not sure if I've ever seen so many people taking selfies with alpacas at one time! Here's a link to the Facebook Live video … yours truly is on it about 3/4 of the way through.
I'm looking forward to spending the weekend at Rassawek. What a beautiful place! Hooked on Alpacas will be teaching people to weave, using peg looms and weaving sticks, and we'll have others in the cooperative teaching spinning, felting, and fiber dying. Look for Hooked on Alpacas on Sunday, June 12th at the RVA Craft Fest at Strangeways too! More details on that next week.
In the meantime, I do hope you'll come out to Rassawek. RVAg's Chef Demo is going to be amazing. My friend Elana Lisa with Elana Lisa and the Hot Mess is one of the bands that will be playing, and there's food, wine, beer, and so many cool activities to do and observe … fun for the whole family!
