NSIC schools have been hesitant to participate in football satellite camps because the general newness and lack of rules related to the practice as well as limited recruiting resources make the camps a complicated issue. Augustana HC Olszewski: "Football's a pretty pure thing right now. It's one of the purest ones out there, from a recruiting standpoint, and to throw a change into that, the NCAA will certainly have to look into that and make sure that it's the best thing for student-athletes and coaches." Minnesota State Mankato HC Hoffner: "They [DI host schools] kind of have their cake and eat it too. They have all these kids come to their camp, they get to keep all the money, and they get free help on top of that. But the way we win is that we can get an upper hand on the recruitment process and get an early start on things." - link
