Hello <<First Name>>

I'm excited to announce that due to popular demand, ABF will be offering five more Continuing Professional Development Days in 2016.

The second session of the series, How to Teach Defence, is a content-based training day, for teachers who have completed the Teacher Training Programme (TTP), and who wish to continue in the ABF scheme. Each attendee receives 10 accreditation points for completing this one-day 6 hour course.

Teacher Training in Geelong
TTPs and CPD Days have been held in Bateman's Bay, Gunnedah, Orange, Brisbane, Geelong and Kiama so far this year.

I want to congratulate the organisers of these sessions for their dedication and hard work. To reward their efforts, the ABF is offering 5 points for each organiser. Thanks to Michael Alves, Ann Blue, Di Hasler, Sandra Curran, Geoff & Dot Read (pictured), Dorothy Woodside, Sylvia Foster and Dorothy Berzins. Your efforts are greatly appreciated!
Cath Whiddon
The Education programme continues to grow, and I’m very happy that Cath Whiddon from NSWBA will be joining the ABF as a Teacher Trainer. Cath will deliver some of the TPPs from January 17.

Cath was the first teacher to be accredited with the ABF, and is responsible for enormous growth at the Peninsula Bridge Club in Sydney’s Northern beaches. The club is now the fourth largest club in NSW! Cath also runs bridge programmes on cruise ships, an activity that has proven to be very popular, with lessons overflowing into multiple rooms.
Finally, USB sticks with all 20 ABF videos are now available for clubs to purchase. These are a great option for clubs, where internet connections aren't good enough for streaming videos.
The sticks are $35 each and can be purchased by contacting Alana Mowbray: alanamowb@hotmail.com
Don't forget to check out the ABF website, and Facebook Page for all the latest news.

Regards,

Joan Butts
ABF National Teaching Coordinator
