START@SystemX

SystemX launches a new initiative for open innovation: START@SystemX, or how startups and large industrial companies work together to foster innovation.
Over a six months period, START@SystemX will invite startups to join SystemX’s research projects, to experiment various large industrial companies’ use cases with their proper technologies and/or solutions. The first thematic of this initiative is dedicated to mobility solutions and will be launched in September 2016.

Systematic Annual Convention

The Systematic annual convention will take place on June 8th, in Paris. This event gathers more than 600 participants around prestige lectures, thematic workshops, times for networking and a showcase of technological innovations.
François Stephan, Deputy CEO – International & Development, will participate in a pannel session about innovation challenges at 10:30 a.m. In the afternoon, Charles Kremer, Smart Territories Program Director, will conduct a workshop on START@SystemX.

Alliancy Award

SystemX is a partner of the Alliancy Award, which recognizes the best alliances between large companies, SMEs, public authorities, startups… and the digital industry players. On June 20th, the Hub Bpifrance will host the event. On the evening agenda: the award ceremony and a panel session about alliances and open innovation.

The Laboratory of Information, Networking and Communication Sciences (LINCS) organized its annual workshop on June 1st. Paul Labrogère, SystemX Program Director, participated in a panel session on the following topic: “Trends in ICT and the role of research”.

 
 
 

Futur en Seine

Futur en Seine is one of the key events in Europe dedicated to innovation. Free and open to everyone, it offers a total immersion in the digital world through conferences, workshops and meetings. SystemX will participate in this event from 9th to 12th June to present its researches in cybersecurity, autonomous transport and smart territories, and its new initiative for open innovation: START@SystemX. 

 
 
 

Autonomous Transport Meeting

SystemX organized a meeting on May 25th dedicated to autonomous transport safety & security challenges. On the day agenda: a statement of the “Autonomous vehicles and Mobility solutions” French Government plan and a presentation of SystemX Autonomous Transport program roadmap. Almost 50 experts participated in this meeting.

Télécom SudParis organized a "Young SAMOVAR Researchers" Day

The SAMOVAR Laboratory of Télécom SudParis (UMR CNRS) organized a "Young SAMOVAR researchers" day on May 30th. On this occasion, Telecom SudParis welcomed two great scientists for two outstanding conferences: Serge Abiteboul, member of the Academy of Sciences, and Erol Gelenbe, Professor at the Imperial College London and inventor of the mathematical concept of network random mathematics.

 
 
 

Seine-Espace Booster organized a Projects' Emergence Day

LRA Project

The LRA (Localization – Augmented Reality) project is designed for automobile sectors, to study the use of augmented reality in the autonomous vehicle, and for the railways sector, to track changes in signaling solutions. Discover in video two case studies carried out within the project: “Testing augmented reality glasses within the autonomous driving” and “Railway signals' detection”.

 
 
 

FSF Project

The FSF (Safe and Reliable Embedded Systems) project ended. Launched in May 2013, this project aimed to encourage the emergence of an industrial sector around execution platforms for rail systems, both main line and urban. Anthropolis Chair

The Anthropolis Chair, initiated by SystemX and CentraleSupélec, is investigating user centered eco-innovations in the context of urban mobility systems and their interactions with other urban systems. The chair’s kickoff event and inaugural lecture will take place on June 28th in SystemX’s premises (registration is by invitation only).

The fourth Requirement Engineering Day, organized by the SPECIEF, was held on May 26th in Paris. Ali Koudri, research engineer, spoke about collaborative engineering for complex systems.

In May, SystemX welcomed in its premises some managers of the Valencia (Spain) based ITE (Instituto Technologico de la Energia), in order to know each other and identify possible collaborations in the field of Smart Energy Management. ITE is a private non-for profit Technology Institute positioned on the field of Energy, with a staff of more than 70 engineers.

SiMSEO serves to raise companies’ awareness about current industrial challenges and train them to digital simulation practices. SiMSEO conducted, in partnership with SystemX, its first information session on May 24th at the CCI Essonne. Other sessions are planned in June:
