Prayer and Needs For Our Family:
Please pray for our son Louis. He is starting 12th grade and we need to buy books and video curriculum for his 12th grade year from A Beka Home School Publishing. The cost for the curriculum is $1500. Louis is also preparing to go to college in 2017. He wants to attend MIT in Boston, Massachusetts. We can not afford the tuition ourselves but God can do all things. Louis is scoring very high on SATs and wants to go into engineering. Pray that he gets a scholarship, which is the best way, or other private funding to allow him to go to MIT or another top tier school of engineering.
Church Planting:
We now live in the interior of Côte d’ Ivoire. Since the war in 2011 many Muslims have been pouring into the region where we now live. We minister in the national language of French which most locals speak. But the new Muslims coming to live here speak languages we do not speak yet. Pray that we have effective ministry to all of the Muslim population.
We are planting our fourth church here, building a mission home (Cost $35,000) and meeting place (Cost $20,000) and will offer Biblical training to local Pastors and leaders who want to start churches. Pray for strength, resources and funding to do the work.
We are awaiting the arrival of a new hand operated brick-making press and diesel mixer pictured above. The press uses local soil mixed with small amounts of cement to produce very hard bricks. This will help us build our mission home, meeting place and school. Pray that it arrives on time and works well for us. It will also be a means of outreach to the community as everyone needs housing.
Pray for our two churches in Yopougon and Eden in the Abidjan metroplex on the Atlantic coast. Pray for the leaders and the members. The Eden church is building a meeting place and needs funds to finish the roofing, electrical and buy seating (Cost $3,500).
Other needs:
- Protection from Christian persecution.
- Protection from continual Malaria infections.
- Favor with government while doing construction and mission work in the interior.
- One container of French Bibles shipped from Switzerland. Cost $6,000 for 5000 Bibles
- Portable medical equipment: electrocardiogram, ultrasound (cost is $6000).
- Transport for our dental equipment from West Palm Beach to Abidjan.
- Meeting and training facility for young girls in distress. Cost to build $30,000.
- Praying for an additional 950 individual supporters to donate $20 each month.
