Epping Forest MP Eleanor Laing praises community spirit at Ninefields Community Day
Epping Forest MP Eleanor Laing has praised the "strong community spirit" on display at the Ninefields Community Day.
Various stalls and sideshows were manned at today's event which was also attended by Waltham Abbey firefighters and air cadets from the 414 (Epping and North Weald) Squadron.
Waltham Abbey mayor Helen Kane and town and district Conservative councillors also visited the event which was organised by the Ninefields Residents Panel.
Mrs Laing said: "I was delighted to visit the Community Day and I thank the organisers for all their hard work arranging the event.
"It displayed the strong community spirit which exists on the Ninefields estate with many local people coming together to ensure that the event was a great success."
