Goodbye Seniors

As it has become a costume, during the last week of the school year, we organize a going away lunch for the senior class. Last Friday, the Iudicum students sat to enjoy their last days in the place that watched them grow.

They enjoyed a one in a kind bbq meat made especially for them, accompanied with fried potatoes and yucca. To complete a perfect lunch, chocolate cake with their brand on it. Who could ask for anything more? You will always be welcome.
Technology in the classroom

Using technology in a kindergarten classroom is not only a fun addition to students' learning process but also a very vital and valuable part of education. The minute a child is born, he is exposed to technology and integrating technology in kindergarten is the next step.

In a technology driven world, teachers have an ever-changing job because students who enter the classroom doors today will not be the same as the students who enter tomorrow.

Kindergarteners usually have a very short attention span; therefore, technology can help teachers present the same material several times in different ways. Students can learn to use these tools: color, pencil, line, paint can, eraser, alphabet text, and more. They learn to practice letters, numbers and reading skills through interactive computer games. Educational videos, games, online encyclopedias, and art or science project demonstrations can be great resources.
The Living Museum

PYP4 has been learning about timelines and historical events. The students were able to create a living timeline as their summative project. They held a Living Museum for everyone to come and visit.

They chose a historical figure, researched, wrote a paper, created a trifold display, and memorized facts. On the day of the Living Museum the students dressed up and shared what they learned. It was an amazing event.

Year 9 have become architects in ICT this term. They have been using a program called Sketchup to design a building of their own creation. Have a look and see if you would like to live in any of them!
