The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is holding a series of three regional workshops to discuss affordable housing and solar. Two of the workshops have already been held, Atlanta, GA and Boston, MA. Registration is now open for the third and final workshop, which will be held on June 23, 2016 in Minneapolis, MN. These workshops will help providers and owners understand the tools and resources available via HUD’s RENEW300 initiative.
These regional workshops are held in conjunction with the Department of Energy National Community Solar Partnership, which will bring together national experts, state and local officials, industry representatives, utility providers, environmental justice advocates, and other key players to share success stories, discuss common challenges and goals, offer troubleshooting advice, and identify strategies to catalyze community solar projects and engage low and moderate income households in your region to be shared through national partnership activities. The goal of the National Community Solar Partnership is to help unlock community solar to expand solar access to all Americans, with specific emphasis on serving low- to moderate-income (LMI) households.
Participants are encouraged to attend both workshops, if interested.
