I'm pretty excited to share the final episode of our web series, Maybe Sunshine, it has been a bit of a journey from our first meeting to releasing the final episode, but it has been a lot of fun. You can watch the season finale now on YouTube.
4MileCircus
In case you missed it: 4MileCircus is a social media and media production company. What do we do? We train individuals and organizations on how to best utilize social media platforms. We also produce video and other media. For example, as of this week we have started a podcast, The 4MileCircus. You can listen to our first episode here (subscribe via iTunes or follow us on SoundCloud). The first episode is part one of a four part interview with filmmaker and Seed&Spark Crowdfunding specialist Christina Raia.
We also spent a good portion of Memorial Day weekend shooting new music videos with The Shondes. Look for those soon.
In addition to our services, blog posts, podcasts, and media production we have a bi-monthly newsletter that we'd love for you to sign up for. It will include tips on using social media as well as links to our current activities and maybe an interview or two as well. Our first 4MileCircus newsletter will be released this Friday, June 17th.
The Videoblogs
I'm a producer on the independent feature film, The Videoblogs, and we have a lot of exciting stuff coming up for that. Following a successful nine city tour of the U.S. director Michael DiBiasio and star Rebecca de Ornelas are preparing for the impending release of the film on iTunes, Amazon, and On-Demand with select cable operators. Keep up with what's happening with the film by liking the Facebook page or through the film's website.
Also, if you, or someone you know, are between the ages of 18 and 24 and have a great idea for a short film about mental health submit to The Videoblogs Dialogues contest. Up for grabs are $2000 towards production of a short film about mental health and valuable consultations with Seed&Spark, Big Vision Empty Wallet, and 4MileCircus.
Greatest Hits
Greatest Hits is still moving forward. We've gotten several more interviews and in the interests of keeping something flowing out into the world, we've also been releasing short videos on YouTube. Some are clips of Chris talking about the artists he's shot with (including recent clips about Red Hot Chili Peppers, INXS, and Ice Cube), and we've also released clips from our interviews with Chris where he talks a bit more about how his process has changed over his decades long career. He talks about the cameras he's shot with (seems like just about everything) and his process of keeping his shoots organized, which has been a big help in shooting this documentary. Meme
My own feature film is still in post-production but significant progress has been made. We've shown the rough cut to a few individuals and gotten some very positive feedback. Really happy with how it has been coming together. It has taken a long time to get where we're at and it will still be awhile before it is ready for release, but its on the way and I'm very happy with the direction it is going.
