Women rewarded at HEC Challenge+ Forum

Very busy month for the 2015-2 class from HEC ChallengePlus program : a conference on 8th june and a pitch competition for their closing session on 17th June.
During this forum 17 project's leaders presented their business plan in front of jury composed of professional involved in the program, which now stands its 25 years.
Peter Todd, HEC PARIS Dean, opened the competition and chaired the jury. If his crush was for Abeille Label, a connected bees hive, it is Cleansense and its leader Isabelle Tovena that won the competition, featuring their solution to control of pollutant.
The 2nd award went to Alexis Vrignaud, from Deep Color Imaging, proposing Micro-angiography through photoacoustic tomography and the 3rd award to Marie Hélène Gramatikoff from Lactips, which manufactures plastic from milk proteins.

Louisa Mesnard, Julien Dauger and Robin Derrida met during their masters at HEC Entrepreneurs. They all had different backgrounds : business and engineering with various different work experiences. They decided to start a new venture together and created Citron, a mobile application that allows anyone, no matter where they are, to find a place that matches his desires. The principle is that you can find a place that could have / has been recommended by a friend and on to allow you to save and share a place you like.
It is like music sharing: everyone can create his playlist of maps and share them.

At the moment, they are followed and mentored by 50 Partners and the HEC incubator. They have been meeting many different people that have shared their experience with them and given them useful advices:

Created in September 2015, Start’HEC has gained an important traction in 8 months within HEC Entrepreneur community. Entrepreneurship is now described by Peter Todd’s - the new Dean of HEC - as its first priority.
"We have organized events every 2 weeks on our campus and acquired 740 Facebook fans since October. Our goals are to increase awareness and inspire students about entrepreneurship, connect them with the available ressources at HEC and represent students in several regional organizations.
We’ve achieved this so far through the organization of Inspiring Creativity Talks on themes like foodtech, social businesses, Demo nights with student pitches, Workshops.
We look forward to organize a lot more of interesting events with the support of the HEC Entrepreneurship center, with our new team."

HEC Entrepreneurs Master students on stage !

Following the tradition, HEC Entrepreneurs Master students will step onto the stage of L'Ecole Militaire (near your beloved Eiffel Tower) to perform a hilarious play : Espèces Menacées, by Ray Conney, adapted by Gérard Jugnot (Yeah, you know the guy from Les Choristes, the teacher, exactly!) and Michel Blanc
Yvon's life is turned upside down when he accidently picks up the wrong briefcase in the train going home. And it's not any briefcase, it's full of money ! What should he do? Yvon has no doubt about it! It's the dream occasion to start all over and go make crepes in Argentina with his wife!
But it's more easily said than done: His wife won't leave the cat behind, their guests are there waiting for the promised birthday dinner, the taxi driver is getting impatient and two policemen join the party to mess things up even more !
Will Yvon and Marie manage to get away before the killer arrives?
There's only one way to know: be there on the 7th of July for a unique performance and witness the disappearance of this bunch of crazy entrepreneurs, or better said of espèces menacées (endangered species).

150 business women on HEC Campus

The Entrepreneurship Center organizes a Summer Camp dedicated to 150 business women on July 11th,12th and 13th, 2016, on HEC campus, in Jouy-en-Josas. The University for “Impact’preneures” is a major entrepreneurial event allowing women entrepreneurs with "sustainable" project to increase their network and to improve their business projects.
This summer camp is notably opened to all classes of StandUp, the HEC social incubator dedicated to women from suburbs undertaking sustainable business models & wishing to deepen its knowledge and do networking.
Why only women? We observed that the exchanges were more free and facilitated between these women, who play a major role in their area as model and educators.
For this event, we offer to some students to come, meet and participate through classes, workshops & shows. It is an opportunity to meet, follow and challenge these business leaders with social & sustainable business models.*
You are available 2 hours or 3 full days, we are looking for voluntary students to make this event a success:
- Participating in 30 minutes pitch-sessions, meeting with an entrepreneur to ask her the good questions and helping her to move forward in her project,
- Participating in event management,
- Participating or speaking during workshops (for entrepreneurial experts).
