School Capital Planning Considerations
As the economy recovers from the economic downturn and employment and housing starts show an
increase, School Districts are beginning to experience an increase in enrollment levels. According to
the Florida Department of Education, public school enrollment is expected to increase from 2.77
million kids to 2.9 million kids over the next five years. This increase creates an urgency in planning
for and constructing future schools, especially in the case of growth counties. Read More.
