Bus Safety Week
Next week is Bus Safety Week. Students will spend some time discussing bus and road safety in preparation for the school holidays.
TIQBIZ
Have you downloaded the App? If you haven't you may be missing out on receiving important news from us. The school uses TIQBIZ to advise parents of changes to event details (ie if the buses will be returning early or late from an event), reminders and even notify if your child is receiving an award at assembly. The App also allows you to access the school website and newsletter. It is easy to download. Search TIQBIZ and follow the prompts. If you run into trouble call into the office and the staff will be able to help set it up for you.
2017 Year 3 Students - BYOD iPads
Following the very successful introduction of iPads for Year 3 students in 2016, we have decided that the program will continue for future Year 3 students. Current Year 2 parents may like to start looking at iPad options for their child for 2017. Any iPad, from a 16gb mini upwards will be suitable. We would recommend that if possible parents look at purchasing a 32gb or larger. At this point of time our school is only able to support iPads, not other tablet devices. An iPad would be an ideal gift and for some families it may be appropriate for birthdays or Christmas this year in readiness for 2017.
Bee Focus for Week 11: Bee-ing Safe. Sit in your seat and put on your seat belt when travelling on the bus.
2017 Enrolments
We are now taking Foundation enrolments for 2017. New families to the school are encouraged to contact the office to organise an appointment to be shown around the school. Families with siblings already attending MPS can call into the office to pick up an enrolment pack and advise the office staff of the new student's details.
Library Books
It would be appreciated if all overdue library books could be returned to the library by the end of term.
