Dominique on Russian TV,

one concert of our laureates at the festival is already sold out and above all more percussionists have shown an interest in applying for the competition than ever before, not only because of our new advanced online application system. I will happily share the details of these successes at the 60th General Assembly of the WFIMC (World Federation of International Music Competitions), so we can continue to offer young and talented musicians the best opportunities.

More percussionists from all over the world have shown interest in applying for the competition than ever before. From the many entries over 100 percussionists ultimately applied, equalling the 2014 record.

The competition jury is now judging the applicants based on anonimised audio recordings. The percussionists that will be invited tot participate, will be announced in July.

Dominique Vleeshouwers in Russia

Dominique Vleeshouwers (1st prize, 2014) was invited to perform at he Dutch Music Days in the Andrej Sacharov Festival in Nizhny Novgorod earlier this month. The audience rose to applaud his performance of Jacob ter Veldhuis' Double Concerto with the Nizhny Novgorod Philharmonic. The popular Russian NTV channel interviewed Dominique.

The Canto Ostinato concert in the TROMP festival is already sold out. Fans of Simeon ten Holt's masterpiece have another chance to attend a performance with mallets by Dominique Vleeshouwers and Ramon Lormans accompanying Ivo Jansen at the Robeco SummerNights July 23.
