Welcome (back) to the Responsorial Psalms newsletter. Thank you for signing up to receive this. It's my simple way of serving your music ministry, in case you have little access to new music. I know back when I was serving with parishes in Manila, Philippines, I had no way of accessing, much less purchasing, music from Catholic publishers. So I ended up composing new responses weekly and we would typically sing the response while the verses were spoken by the lector. I'm trying to do the same for you now — even if I'm not physically a part of your parish or music ministry.

For June 19, 2016 : 12th Sunday, Ordinary Time

The psalm is:   Thirsting for You II (Psalm 63)
If you click the link, you will get to the blog post which has a streaming version of the psalm, and download links for the music score PDF, the MP3 file, and the MuseScore notation file.

This is the second version of this psalm that I've set to music, and like all my 2016 compositions, I've stayed absolutely faithful to the text in the Lectionary. Just in case you want to hear alternate version, where I did end up editing the verses to fit the music, it is here

For June 26, 2016 : 13th Sunday, Ordinary Time

The psalm is:  You Are My Inheritance (Psalm 16)

If you click the link, you will get to the blog post which has a streaming version of the psalm, and download links for the music score PDF, the MP3 file, and the MuseScore notation file.

For July 3, 2016 : 14th Sunday, Ordinary Time
The psalm is:  Cry Out to God With Joy (Psalm 66)

Note: this is an old composition and the verse lyrics are not faithful to the text in the Lectionary. I will be updating the lyrics and music for the verses this coming week so that it exactly matches the text, but the response will remain the same. You can start teaching your music ministry the response while I catch up. Stay tuned!
