Small Group opportunities for Spring
You are invited to join the Fellowship Class (Fellowship Hall, 9:45 a.m., Sunday mornings) focusing on the theme: Toward a New Creation - Genesis, Psalms, Zephaniah, and Romans.
The Fenstermaker Class will be completing their current study at the end of June. Beginning July 10, we will be using the Wired Word, an adult Sunday School lesson that confronts the news with scripture and hope. Current topics will be emailed each Thursday through the summer. Let Gwenn Freeman know if you would like to receive the weekly email and join us at 9:45am on Sunday for the discussions.

Eli is going home this summer so starting June 12. I'm excited to have a new program called "One Room Sunday School". It's the same curriculum "Deep Blue" that we've done this fall. It's designed to work with all ages allowing the big kids (YOURS!) to serve as leaders and mentors for the littles. I think it's going to be so much fun and I'm excited to work with all the kids in one room this summer! Contact Alison Jenkins for more information. ajenkins@avonumc.net.
We are having a workday at the Parsonage on June 25th to get things ready for Malinda and her family. Please plan on coming at 9 a.m. and volunteering your time and talent. We will be painting, repairing, pruning shrubs, and more so there is something for everyone to do! All are welcome and needed! We would like to thank everyone who helped make this year’s VBS such a success! At Cave Quest VBS kids explored the rock solid foundation of Jesus' love. Cave Quest was filled with incredible Bible learning experiences that kids got to see, hear and even taste! Science gizmos, team building games, amazing bible songs and tasty treats are just a few of the standout activities of the week. We welcomed 80 kids and 20 youth to VBS! A HUGE THANKS to the 20 adults that made VBS happen!
