LABCON 2016 HIGHLIGHTS
CHARLOTTETOWN, PEI
Tiffany Clouston from Saint John Academy gave a presentation at LABCON 2016 in PEI in June on "Preparing the Leaders of Tomorrow" and received many accolades from participants and on social media. Go Tiffany!
Melissa King from the Moncton Academy introduced the crowd the intraoperative PTH testing. Her presentation was chosen to be recorded for the CSMLS continuing education website which can be downloaded for CE credits. We hope to see more speaking engagements from Melissa in the future! Way to go, Melissa!
Janelle Bourgeois (Moncton Academy), Chrystal Allen ( Fredericton Academy), and Pierre Leveillé ( SJ academy, pictured right) sat on a panel for a fireside chat called "From the Bench to Business" speaking about their experiences in business with their MLT background.  Chrystal also did a presentation on Lean Six Sigma in phlebotomy and Pierre on collection of national data in healthcare! Very informative and Enjoyed by many!
Paula Steeves volunteered for the event and was a flag bearer for New Brunswick. Being part of LABCON is a rewarding experience as a volunteer, speaker and delegate!
Danielle McLennan from Moncton Academy was appointed to the CSMLS Board of Directors as Bilingual Director! Congratulations to Danielle for her strong commitment to the profession!

  • President sends congratulations to the academies for job well done on promoting Medical Lab Professionals
  • Lt Governor appoints public members of NBSMLT discipline committee
  • CSMLS letter on the direction of accreditation of MLT programs posted on NBSMLT website
  • Corporate partnership with National Bank to support CE activities was accepted. Details to follow later this summer.

A SOULIGNER: LABCON 2016
CHARLOTTETOWN, I.-P.-É.
Tiffany Clouston de l'académie de Saint-Jean a donné une présentation à LABCON 2016 sur la préparation des leaders futurs. Sa présentation à été bien reçu par la foule et sur les médias sociaux. Bravo Tiffany!

Melissa King de l'académie de Moncton a fait une présentation sur l'HPT intraopératif. Sa présentation a été choisi pour être filmé pour la formation continu du site web de la SCSLM! Vous purriez le télécharger pour des heures de PPP.  On espère d'en voir plus de Melissa!
 


Janelle Bouregois ( Académie Moncton), Chrystal Allen ( Académie Fredericton) et Pierre Leveillé ( Académie de Saint Jean) ont fait parti d'un dialogue sur leurs expériences comme TLM dans le monde d'affaire. Chrystal a fait une autre présentation sur Lean Six Sigma en phlébotomie et Pierre Léveillé sur la collection des données nationales en santé. Tres informatif!  Bravo à vous trois!
 
Paula Steeves de l'académie de Moncton a fait du bénévolat pour l'évênement et a porté le drapeau du Nouveau-Brunswick pour la cérémonie d'ouverture. Ce fut une experience três enrichissante!
Danielle McLennan de l'académie de Moncton a été élu au conseil exécutif de la SCSLM comme Directrice bilingue. Bravo a Danielle pour son dévouement exceptionnel à la profession!
