Black Canaries Wins Jury Award for Best New England Short Film

It took me twelve years to get back to Vermont. This is where I grew up and where I plan to make my next film.  So it made it all the more special to receive the Jury Award for Best New England Short Film at the 18th Annual Provincetown International Film Festival this past weekend.  It was a warm welcome home.

My gratitude to Short Film Jury Members Kim Yutani (Senior Programmer, Sundance Film Festival), Lisanne Skyler (filmmaker, BRILLO BOX (3¢ OFF)) and Ian Samuels (filmmaker, MYRNA THE MONSTER) and a special thanks to Shorts Programmer Mike Plante, along with all of the PIFF staff, volunteers and patrons.
